Maria Isabel Hoelle is a partner in the Miami office of Fowler Rodriguez Valdes-Fauli and heads its litigation group. Ms. Hoelle’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, civil litigation and products liability. She represents large corporate clients in multimillion dollar disputes. Her experience includes representing both domestic and foreign litigants before U.S. and foreign courts. She has experience litigating issues of jurisdiction and forum non conveniens in both federal and Florida state courts. Ms. Hoelle has handled numerous international discovery requests through the Hague Convention on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters. Her practice also includes representing hospitals and physicians in the defense of medical malpractice actions.
Ms. Hoelle has represented clients in disputes before the American Arbitration Association. She has extensive experience in issues related to electronic discovery in federal and state courts. Ms. Hoelle has also successfully represented clients before various Florida appellate courts.
Ms. Hoelle received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She served as a Presidential Management Intern in Washington, D.C. before obtaining her Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University of American in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Hoelle is a member of The Florida Bar and previously served as Vice Chair of its Committee on Professionalism. She is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Ms. Hoelle is a member of the International Law Section and Trial Lawyer’s Section of The Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association. Ms. Hoelle serves as a board member of the President’s Council of Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She has an AV peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Hoelle is fluent in Spanish
